The unfaithful

There is definitely something, rather really interesting, being confused, anxious, and vague for a split second, only to resent after it passes. Then you stop, you wish to go back, do what you should have done, to turn around only to see it’s too late or by now too weak to continue.

How hard to come to a decision, even as temptation is immense, but would not fall, not yet.

Unfaithful, is it faith, its antagonist, being faithful what does it mean? Is it a tag to those who have been challenged, who made nearly such but chose not to, or those who have blinded themselves to forcefully abstain from their carnal self. Is it pure, if such how can one know if the contrary is not known without taint.

Exhausting for the answers, it eludes, how can it feel so right yet crush with guilt. Falling without resolution, surging all out of me, filling my veins with pleasure, I do not know if right or wrong or is it pain.

The moment comes… still uncertain.

This somewhat of a sting I have not felt for a long time, my lungs near my throat , no more than once in innocence… no, only to a single person no other…

Why do I feel it now? Why you? Why?

The other side of CSPC

By Noelyn Braga

Camarines Sur Polytechnic College is one of the leading schools in the Bicol Region  that is producing highly competitive graduates. It makes a great boost in the field of medicine. The evidence is the recently midwifery licensure examination, where Barcia got the highest rank as the top notcher among all student who taked the examination. We all know that CSPC has a good reputation and good image, but, is that enough to be called the CSPC as the perfect and role model school?

When I observed first outside the gate, I will already notice something, some students who are not in proper uniform will not be allowed to enter, but who knows the guard, they will allow it to enter. NO ID, NO ENTRY policy but when the daughter of one of the professor, the break the policy. Is the what we call “Palakasan”?… then as I get inside the campus, I saw a student who greet  a certain professor but the professor ignored, he didn’t reply nor smile or noticed the presence of the student. He just passed by as if nothing. Where’s the manner? They teaching the student about good manners, but their selves has no manners at all.

Student also has their fault. They have no discipline. Early in the morning, the room is clean, and organized but as the time passed by it will look like in Tayabas, Quezon city. All trash can is full of garbage then I enter the comfort room, but what a site there are several napkins on the pavement, some are on the bowl, and in the afternoon, all the comfort room has an annoying smell. Where’s the cleanliness my dear schoolmates?

Recently, all the students is busy paying their balance in the cashier. The line is so long, waiting for their turn. But ”Mr Pala and Mrs Kasan” is here again. A certain student just gives her assessment to her mother who is a professor and then her mother enter in the cashier’s room. An in just a minute she paid her balance and it is already validated. The world is so unfair!!! Imagine some of the students came early in the morning to fall in line. Starving and sweating is experiencing, but some student just snapped their fingers and their finished… how tragic isn’t it?

And what is this, the billing section is always closed. They didn’t know that they need by the student. Then on the other day, I went to the billing section to validate my permit and what I saw is that the teacher throw the assessment form of a certain student in the window for some reason… this student is not there to get her validated form, so the teacher just throw it at the window. Imagine? Does Vice-President, Doctor Atian know of this? Does she know of all the dilemma the student experiences because of the staff that is neglected to their responsibilities?

Now, you know the other side of CSPC. Despite its success, CSPC has an ugly side of qualities. It depends on you, should you believe it? But try to open your eyes, be sensitive and there in your eyes lays all the evidence.

CSPC as the leading school here in Bicol hold’s some truth… an open university/academic institution would have a hard time to keep the students rating up…

Sometime ago i almost enrolled in CSPC, but i realized this school’s not for me. i’d always believed that " A GOOD SCHOOL MAKE MEN OUT OF FOOLS" and certainly this famed school is not on that list..

The Student Nurse

The Affiliate

The Bicol Medical Center located in Panganiban Drive, Naga City is the only government owned tertiary hospital in the whole Camarines Sur, it’s Medical ward located on the left wing of the main building just a few steps above the Emergency room caters to various patient from all over the region crowd in this 8 room ward seeking the most affordable medical attention, poverty and financial instability led this individuals to be taken care of in the goodwill of the government health care workers, and on a charity basis.

Unfortunately there is a variety of odors which can be smelled in the ward ranging from the most amorous scent to the extent of the repulsive odors way beyond human tolerance. Staff nurses miraculously are able to accommodate such dense population all vying for their attention albeit such charitable services gets real deep into the nerves resulting to some being tagged as indifferent, all because requests becomes too repetitive and it’s hard to keep ones cool.

The affiliate are not accustomed to highly specific task-oriented procedures. They are exposed to steaming hostility of the ranks, these training individuals needs supervision and not simply letting them do professional jobs. luckily there is always our clinical instructors ready to enlighten and push down the buzzer whenever student nurses stand up idle doing nothing, though they do have their imperfections.

The Bicol Medical Center’s Medical ward is the pinnacle of un-ideal nursing services should Lippincott’s Fundamentals of Nursing would be followed as the institutions standard operating procedures.

It is disturbing that the theories taught in school is blurred by the principles of this highly acclaimed Institution.

Two thousand and Eights

A New Year’s Beginning

Firecracker flies, flashes then boom, skies filled with man made stars. Red, yellow, green and blue. A sight to behold as the new year is greeted with anxious people waiting for the last years end. Children giddily watching, shouting and pointing to their favorite colours emblazoned on the midnight sky, lovers embraces, i love you’s and finally kisses.
2008 has come at last and time starts anew…
